Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information 2468111 Ontario Inc., operating as Far Samji and Smashing Golf (“we”, “us”), collect through farsamji.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

• Details you send us. Your name, email, phone number and message when you use a form on the site, like the contact form, the sponsor inquiry form, a golf travel question or the newsletter sign-up.
• Your account and courses. Your name, email, password (stored encrypted) and your progress when you create an account or take an online course.
• Purchases. Your name, billing address, email, phone and what you bought. Card payments are handled by Square. We never see or store your full card number.
• Bookings. The details you give when you book a lesson, clinic, event or trip.
• How you use the site. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and messages.
• To give you access to the online courses you buy and keep track of your progress.
• To process orders, send receipts and keep the records the law requires.
• To organize lessons, clinics, Smashing Nines events and golf trips.
• To send our newsletter and event dates, only if you’ve agreed to get them.
• To understand how people use the site so we can improve it, and to keep it secure and free of spam.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share what’s needed with the companies that help us run the site and our programs:

• Hostinger, which hosts the website.
• Square, which processes card payments.
• Google, for Google Analytics and the map on our contact page.
• Calendly, if you book a lesson time through the booking calendar.
• Bunny.net and YouTube, which host the videos on the site. They may set their own cookies when you play a video.
• Our email and form tools, which deliver form messages, course emails and the newsletter.
• Spam and security services, which check form submissions and protect the site from attacks.
• Gala Travels, our TICO-registered travel partner (TICO Reg. #1906454, 7780 Woodbine Ave #2, Markham, ON L3R 2N7, 905.940.4646). If you book a golf trip, your booking details go to Gala Travels, which handles the booking under its own privacy policy.

Some of these companies store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser saves. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your cart and see how the site is used through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but signing in and checkout may stop working if you do.

Emails from us

We only send newsletters and event announcements if you’ve signed up or otherwise agreed to get them. Every one has an unsubscribe link. Even if you unsubscribe, we’ll still send emails you need, like receipts and course access details.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Order and payment records are kept for six years, as Canadian tax rules require. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize the rest of your information unless we need to keep it by law.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, encrypted passwords and security monitoring. No website can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your information safe and will let you know if a breach puts you at real risk.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your account. Email longdriver@farsamji.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Young people

This website is meant for adults. If you’re under 18, please get a parent’s or guardian’s permission before sending us any personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
