SMASHING NINES WOMEN’S GOLF EVENTS

Never played a round? This is the event for you.

Smashing Nines are my women-only nine-hole events at courses across Southern Ontario. I warm you up, you play a team scramble with three other women, and we eat together after. No scorekeeping, no pressure, and plenty of women come on their own. Every event helps girls get into golf through Smashing Girls.

How Smashing Nines events work

Registration and booths

Check in, meet everyone and visit the vendor booths. Most have freebies.

Group clinic

Every event opens with a short clinic on the basics, from where to stand to when to hit, so nothing on the course catches you off guard.

Best-ball scramble

Nine holes with carts and no scorekeeping. Your team plays the best shot, so nobody carries the round alone, and coaches are out on the course if you need a hand.

Meal together

Sit down, eat and get to know the women you just played with.

Every Smashing Nines helps a girl get on the course

Smashing Girls pairs teens and young adults with women from the Smashing community. Girls are referred by Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, Family & Youth Services and school boards, and they play for free.
