How many girls miss out on golf due to lack of access? Smashing Girls changes that for girls aged 11-17, offering a transformative program that blends golf with life-changing mentorship. Partnering with Family & Youth Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, school boards, and community referrals, we connect girls with successful women mentors from the Smashing program. They learn golf, build confidence, and gain insights into careers and life.

A Journey of Growth

Each girl receives four professional golf lessons, plays 9 holes with her mentor, and attends a Smashing Nines event in the summer. This journey teaches resilience—that missing a shot doesn’t define success. Through golf, girls develop interpersonal skills, confidence, and goal-setting strategies, equipping them to tackle school and life’s challenges with a positive mindset.

Mentoring in Smashing Girls is as rewarding for you as it is for the girls. Last year, every mentor felt they gained as much as their mentees, witnessing the profound impact of guiding a young girl. You don’t need to be a skilled golfer—just a willingness to share your experiences and time. By modeling sportsmanship, resilience, and confidence, you’ll help girls aged 11-17 grow comfortable with adults and embrace life’s challenges, making a lasting difference.

Mentor Commitment

Time:
  • Accompany your mentee for her golf lessons
  • 2 rounds of nine holes each with your mentee
  • 1 round at a Smashing Nines event with your mentee
Financial (varies per green fee):
  • 2 rounds of nine holes of golf (girls are free)
  • Smashing Nines event (you pay for your fee, girls are free)
