Smashing the Grass Ceiling: A Women’s Guide to Mastering Golf For Business Success

Proceeds to fund “Smashing Girls”, a Mentoring Program for Teens

Burlington, ON – May 23, 2017 – Far Samji, former pro-golfer, 5-time Canadian ILDC  Long Drive Champion and entrepreneur knows the power of golf as a business tool and is passionate about getting more women out of the office and onto the golf course. Samji is releasing a new book, available today, called Smashing the Grass Ceiling: A Women’s Guide to Mastering Golf for Business Success.

Entrepreneurs, community leaders and professionals will be getting the first copies hot off the press today at the Smashing Nines Women’s Only Golf Tournament, hosted by Samji at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.

“Golf is the game of business and the stakes are too high for women to be left out any longer,” says Samji. “Most women tell me they don’t have time, they don’t know the rules, or they aren’t ‘very good’. My book reveals that any woman, regardless of athletic ability, can master the art of business golf and can get on the course with the people who can make a difference in their career.”

The book is Samji’s first, a combination of inspiration, advice, and personal stories aimed at providing a blueprint for success.  Readers will learn how to:

  • Navigate golf courses with confidence
  • Fully leverage golf as a social and business networking tool
  • Manage emotions while playing
  • Become the person people want in their golf foursome

Smashing the Grass Ceiling: A Women’s Guide to Mastering Golf for Business Success can be purchased for $20 at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/farsamji

“As a seasoned golfer who plays for personal interest as well as in many charitable tournaments that are work-related, I think Far’s approach to golf is simplified and compelling,” said Rosanne Longo, Longo’s. “A quick and easy read, this book is not only for those thinking of taking up the game or those new to the game, but there are some great tools and tips for those who have been playing for many years.”

The book is one part of Samji’s venture, Smashing the Grass Ceiling, a business that comprises instructional programs, corporate events, speaking engagements, tournaments, and a youth program.

Proceeds from the sale of Samji’s book will go towards Smashing Girls, a program for teenage girls to have an opportunity to be paired with professional women mentors to help them build life skills, confidence and an appreciation for active living, all through the game of golf.
